Research Notes — Platform Mix Update (2026-07-22)

This note records the current research-agent target list as of 2026-07-22. The actual research prompt and source configuration lives in the agent harness and is updated there; this file is the in-repo audit trail only, kept version-controlled so a future maintainer (or the next research run) can read exactly which platforms were queried and when the mix changed.

It does not change any application behavior in this repository. The day-34 founder narrative in Building an AI Prototyping Agent in 34 Days remains intact as a primary-source historical artifact; the "Distribution: 9 Platforms Blocked" section there reflects the distribution-attempt outcome at product launch and is not edited by this note.

Hacker News (via Algolia) and Medium remain productive founder-pain sources. Hashnode, Dev.to, and HackerNoon have been added as of this note to broaden coverage of independent developer-blog content where founders describe build-vs-buy pain, prototyping friction, and "we need this yesterday" requests.

IndieHackers is no longer queried. The most recent research sweep confirmed it is dead as a founder-pain source, so it has been dropped from the target list and will not appear in subsequent runs.
